"The Digital Lie - From Selfportrait to portraits of the Self". (2007) This project initiated with a reflection on the contemporary communication society, namely the advent of the Web 2.0. On every so-called "social network" site, most famously the like of Facebook, Myspace, or this one included, people are asked to upload a profile picture. The meaning of selfportraiture then gets extrapolated, as it doesn't depict how the artist perceives himself, but rather how he wants to perceived by others. This series consists of a 100 selfportraits shot intentionally with a basic 2megapixels compact camera, then processed through "Digital Make-up" as to blur gender and age. Most of the works are titled after their last saved file name, as clues of the many reworks, so that the process serves the concept of the project. Watching then, over all these digital lies, scattered like a kaleidoscope of the self, one might get a feeling for one overall, more faithful, self-portraiture.

"Kolle 2" (2009) is a series of 20 selfportraits dealing with the sexual identity, developped during a stay in Cologne, Germany.
