Xavi Lavida

My name is Javier and my professional name is Xavi LaVida. I am Spanish and I live in the city of Alicante next to the Mediterranean Sea.

I am a self-taught painter who also acts in the world of fashion making shoe design as you can see on my facebook page called Xavi LaVida. I work on concepts, ideas that have a personal justification for me. I call him working 'The Truth', that is, nothing that I do not firmly believe is realized and I should be noted that I am there, in my own work, that I am part of the painting as my own DNA of my own.

I usually move in different registers and media without any fear or restriction like a surfer does changes of waves to keep in movement over de water.

I love to provoke feelings and sensations with my works and these works can be of extreme simplicity or absolutely rich, sophisticated in the treatment or strong in concept, colors, size.

I can paint after a deep reflexion and planning every step or in an impulsive action but pushing in deep to the idea.
