Anastasia Shi

Anastasia was born and raised in Siberia. Her life took her places, seeking different experiences, cultures, and discovering her artistic voice from Siberia to China, The United States, and to Mexico.

Her necessity to create remained constant as she experienced and learned from countries and cultures around the world. Anastasia discovered her calling for painting after relocating to New York in 2013 where she studied Fine Arts at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Anastasia’s work has been showcased in art shows in the United States, Italy, and Mexico.

Anastasia studies and explores her fascination with humans and their emotions through her art. Currently, she is immersing herself in art therapy and psychology to deepen her understanding and creative perception of different facets of what it means to be human. Anastasia works with a range of mediums and techniques by connecting abstract figures, symbolism, and distortion to depict how emotions mirror physical appearance.
