Yanina Volovod

Born in Ukraine, self-taught in drawing & painting, taken classes in acting, studied natural science & psychology at University. Throughout the life persistently creating and swimming in the ocean of the mind’s creativity. Graduated from AUD with BFA in Visual Communications-Creative Advertising, Graphic Design, & with a diploma in Marketing Communications.

Currently doing freelance graphic design, painting, drawing, hand lettering & video editing.

Working on becoming a full-time artist.

Art inspired by music, organic lines of botanic illustrations, colors of Impressionists, rhythms of Kandinsky, outlines of Picasso, the surrealism of Dali, as well as naivety of Ukrainian icon Maria Prymachenko.

Through the art experimenting, liberating the shower of creative ideas, communicating hearty concepts and ideas through symbolism, self-expressing the feelings, narrating personal stories, traveling into fairytales, using art as a ritualistic tool of reassuring & seeking protection.

At the moment experimenting and fascinated with the relationship of color, line and reflective materials as well as typographic art. My recent works are emotional and symbolical self-portraits.
