Zafer Sönmezateş

In my art journey, I focused on bringing a new and distinct perspective to the understanding of classical art in society, partially neglecting the artistic and cultural norms as well as artistic attitude. In this adventure, the component in the multifaceted turmoil of life, the reflections of people and nature on me helped to form the main theme of my works. My artistic perspective, inspired by icons such as Esher, Picasso and Miro, enabled the evolution of my inner journey that led to the intuitive search for meaning and the emergence of my surreal works. In my works, I aimed to reveal the possibilities of line and colour, aesthetics and strengths in a simple way, to arouse the feeling and pleasure of discovering to the viewer in all of my works, and to ensure that they take part in a pleasant and curious tour.

As a graduate of Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Department, I have worked as a designer in various advertising and design agencies since my student years.
