Dmitrii Zakharov

At first I was a professional marketer. The head of the specialized divisions in major Russian companies. Founder of an advertising and marketing Agency.
However, at some point in my life, my ikigai changed a lot. Some people think that 33 years is a critical age and you need to prepare to go to your own "Calvary", but I went to an art store and bought a canvas, paints and brushes. Thus began my journey.

Then I found a mentor who was able to give me basic knowledge in academic drawing, color, and develop the necessary skills. I Studied at RSUH at the faculty of art History, and currently I am a master of Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Design and Applied Arts, Stroganov Academy.

I participated in local collective exhibitions of contemporary art. I Was a nominee and took first place in the "portrait" category at Russian Art Week.
My works was sold in the auction of Artlitfond. At one of the last auctions, my painting “Volition" took the first place, according to site visitors (litfund.ru/news/5747/), and entered the TOP-5, according to the sales price rating.

My immediate plans: holding a personal exhibition "Tin", which includes two series of works
Aut cum scuto, aut in scuto (“With a shield or on a shield”) - paintings made on metal shockproof OMON’s shields (special police). The series reveals the theme of the duality of protests and provides a personal interpretation of current events.
STOPART - paintings made on road signs (mainly the sign "entry is prohibited", in common parlance "brick"). The concept includes playing the visual image of the sign with the inclusiveness of visual images that reveal the problem of life in a big city, urbanism, political and economic narratives.
