Claudio Ghirardo

I originally wanted to draw comics for a living but a trip to the Museum of Modern Art changed all that. I worked as a freelance illustrator in order to make a living and now devote myself full time to my art.I am mainly a self-taught artist having spent years studying to works of the modern masters,outsider art,and many of today's contemporary artists, infusing that with many years of reading comics,watching cartoons, and looking at fantasy and science-fiction illustrations.My work was titled "Neo-Humanism" by an art history professor when he saw my work dealt with the humanity, characteristics, of the human figure.
