Ghazaleh Monshizadeh

I'm a calligraphy artist based in Rome. My work is deeply inspired by the beauty of Persian culture and poetry, a reflection of the rich heritage of my homeland. I began my journey in calligraphy by mastering traditional Persian techniques and styles. After reaching an advanced level, I expanded my practice into the Kufic style, combining it with modern calligraphy fonts to create fresh, contemporary interpretations of this timeless art. Each piece visually interprets the profound words of iconic Iranian poets like Rumi (Molana) and Hafez, merging tradition with a modern aesthetic. Through my art, I strive to bring Persian literature and culture to life in a way that resonates with today’s audience.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning from Iran and a Master’s degree in Urban Design and Architecture from Sapienza University in Rome.
