Steve McDonald is an established Canadian artist and illustrator from Creemore, Ontario.

In recent years Steve has become well known for his highly detailed illustrations of architectural subjects. In particular his aerial cityscapes have gained a large following of admirers. His award-winning five book project with Chronicle Books (Fantastic Cities, Fantastic Structures, Fantastic Collections, Fantastic Planet and Fantastic Machines) have become an international best-selling series with over half a million books in print. They have been published in more than 30 countries and have been translated into more than twenty languages.

Steve is presently represented worldwide by Illozoo Illustration. In recent years his artwork has been featured in countless publications both as a featured artist or as a contributing illustrator. Among the more notable publications that have featured Steve's artwork and/or his books are CBS SUNDAY MORNING NEWS, The Guardian UK, Architectural Digest, Architectural Digest India, Architectural Digest Italy, The Atlantic, Walrus magazine, NY Times, Gizmodo, CBC, Imagine FX, Communication Arts, Yahoo News with Katie Couric, Toronto Life and The Globe & Mail.
