Anthea Delmotte

Namibian‑born, Western Cape–based multidisciplinary artist working across painting, mixed media, performance, and environmental practice. My lifelong creative path began in childhood and continued through applied arts such as murals, airbrush work, signage, and large‑scale painted installations, evolving into a dedicated fine‑art practice.

Living off‑grid on a remote mountain farm, I work in direct relationship with land, ecology, and physical labour — managing the environment myself, growing food, and developing a small native‑plant nursery as part of a broader sustainable way of life. My work engages cycles of landscape, resilience, and the lived experience of working with nature at its most elemental.

Fifteen solo exhibitions and over 110 group shows nationally and internationally, alongside performances, installations, environmental projects, and curatorial work.
