I'm a later-in-life emerging artist.
I was born in Leicester, England in 1955 and emigrated to Australia in 1960. I now live by the beautiful Hacking River and am constantly inspired by the changing scenery the tides and weather bring to me.
Right from when I was a toddler and stole my big sister's colour pencils I've always loved colour and creating.
I've engaged with people all of my life; firstly as a teacher and now after completing my Master of Art degree, as an art educator at my Regional Art Centre and to residents in Aged Care Facilities.
I'm also privileged to support people at critical times in their lives as a Funeral and Marriage Celebrant.
My practice is grounded in materiality and is realised in painting, sculpture and installation. As a conceptual artist I investigate and use materials and ideas imbued with historical, environmental or cultural significance; I attempt to explore relationships between people, places and entities.
I love to use materials that form the land and seascape of my world as my mark makers.

I gained my teaching qualifications in Early Childhood Education at The Sydney Kindergarten Teachers' College and Melbourne University, Victoria.
In 2018 I graduated with a Master of Art from the University of New South Wales, Art & Design.
As well as learning from many arts educators during workshops and classes, I've been inspired by many artists and their works.
