Dance of Red and Gold Painting

So many things inspire me to create art, and I love sharing this inspiration with the world. It’s not about me and my art; it’s about igniting a creative passion in you. As a teenager I became fascinated by photography because of the way I could use it to capture a moment in time. And I was engrossed in the world of poetry because of the way the spoken word could be used to capture the emotion of a moment. Today my preferred medium is paint. I love the color, freedom and scale potential of a painting. I love street art and large canvases. I love the way a painting comes alive as I’m working on it and takes on a character of its own. Though I may start with a specific inspiration the final composition is always a surprise. My inspiration comes from the striking images that are ubiquitous in pop culture and the emotions that are go along with them. I believe my role as an artist is to look at the world differently than the ordinary, and to reflect that perspective back to the viewer. I live and work near Boston, Massachusetts.
