Serge Jagat is a young expressionist painter and sculptor. This artist with rich family traditions in the field of art is of Franco-Georgian descent. From an early age, fine art skills were instilled in him under the supervision оf his mother. The idea of painting and what he could bring in innovations formed by examples such as: Caravaggio, Bernini, van Gogh, Monet, Matisse and Modigliani, from the St. Petersburg years of the artist’s childhood, and due to traveling to distant lands. The young artist's paintings are based on the purity of color, expressed in light, feelings and emotions in its vivid expression. The painter is currently writing and experimenting in abundance, including his passion for sculptures. He enjoys working in the genre of portraiture, still life and landscape. He is trying to reveal a modern vision in painting, which fundamentally distinguishes him from many contemporary artists. Since 2017, the artist regularly participates in exhibitions. Many of his works are kept in private collections of artists and politicians in Russia and abroad.
