Chas Williams is a Scottish urban contemporary artist pushing the line between street culture and high end collectability. Working with reclaimed tech such as circuit boards, VHS tapes, floppy disks and cassettes he builds raw, tactile surfaces layered with oil, spray paint and acrylic. His work fuses grit with precision, nostalgia with attitude through retro/tech industrial materials elevated into statement pieces. As he puts it, “I'm an engineer at heart, but an artist by nature.”
Trained as a graphic designer in Edinburgh then got into street art. Now painting urban-contemporary modern art in Dubai.
