Georgios Malisianos

I am a self-taught oil painter based in Vienna, Austria. I began painting at the age of seven, and painting has remained a constant thread throughout my life even while my professional career led me into computer science and technology.

My work explores memory, nature, solitude and the passage of time. I am particularly drawn to ordinary moments that hold a deeper emotional presence: a path leading toward the sea, a landscape remembered years later, a figure, a place or a fleeting atmosphere.

I work primarily in oil, allowing colour, light and visible brushwork to become part of the emotional language of each painting. Rather than simply reproducing what I see, I paint what I remember, feel and imagine.

My approach combines observation with memory and imagination, creating contemporary paintings rooted in the traditions of Impressionism while remaining personal and intuitive.

I live and work in Vienna, where painting gives me a way to slow down, observe and preserve moments that would otherwise disappear.

I am largely self-taught, with additional study at the Old Masters Academy.
