Gulseren YalçintaŞ

Gülseren Yalçıntaş was born in Keskin, Ankara .She graduated from Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education in 1980. She worked as an educator for many years, before devoting herself entirely to her art. She currently lives in Istanbul.
When she was a child, she enjoyed painting. She began oil painting in 1991, but it wasn't until 2011 that she took to it in earnest, attending classes and contributing to exhibitions.
Colour and painting are my twin passions. They fill my soul and my mind; painting is what God created me to do. I paint what I see, and generally use soft bright colours. I am trying to create something different, painting oil on canvasses 15" x 15", sometimes combining them in a patchwork composition.
My favourite painters are Vincent Van Gogh and Henri Matisse; I love Post-Impressionism and Fauvism, and am inspired by their use of texture and colour.I hope my enthusiasm for life and learning are reflected in my paintings.
