Scotty Hensler investigates how humans aesthetically relate, recreate and interpret each other through mark and material. His current work examines how people connect to images and models of other and self. In his drawing, painting and sculpture, he dissects and reconstructs imagery from his visual, mental and emotional perception of a person to create his portraits.
Scotty also develops and implements exhibitions and programming as Assistant Director for Landmark Arts at Texas Tech University School of Art. He earned his MFA in Painting and his work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions including ones juried by Mel Chin and Judy Pfaff.
