Joko Apridinoto

Joko Apridinoto is an Indonesian contemporary artist working at the intersection of painting and sculpture. His practice explores memory, psychological landscapes, nature, and mythology through tactile surfaces, relief, and layered abstract forms.

Rather than treating painting as a flat surface, Apridinoto builds dimensional structures that transform the canvas into a sculptural field. Texture, cavities, fragments, and subtle symbolic forms become a language through which memory and the natural world are explored.

Based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, he graduated from the Indonesian Institute of Arts Yogyakarta and has exhibited in Indonesia and internationally.
