Maxine Farmer

Maxine’s passion for sculpture stems from a fascination with capturing energy, emotion and fleeting ephemeral moments as permanent 3D memories. Featured artist at the Royal Society of British Artists 2024, featured artist at the Royal Society of Women Sculptors 2026, near Buckingham Palace, London. Maxine creates her original sculptures in clay, plaster, or mixed media, and many are then turned into casts in bronze, stone, and other material. Primarily figurative, Maxine is now exploring more abstract directions. She also creates bas relief (wall sculptures). As well as selling limited editions of her art, Maxine also carries out private commissions to a client brief.

Maxine has studied at St Martin’s, the V and A, and Tate Britain in London. She has also had one-to-one tuition and has collaborated with Beatrice Hoffman, the celebrated Oxfordshire-based sculptor. In addition, in 2023 she took a year long Masterclass in bas relief.

Her works have been selected for exhibitions including Odney Club, Cookham (May 2026) and the Royal Society of Women Artists (June 2026), and she has works on display at the Wye Valley Sculpture Garden til the end of September 2026. Previously, she has had works selected for exhibitions at National Trust Greys Court, Wye Valley Sculpture Park (2025), Odney Court in Cookham (2024), the Royal Society of British Artists prestigious annual exhibition (2024), the Cotswold Sculpture Park (2024), Windsor Arts Fair (2023). In May 2024, she supported the 118 Keys charity art sale at St Martins in the Crypt with a donation of The Reader.
