Hyunok Lim

My work begins from the invisible landscapes of the inner self — a garden where memories, emotions, desires, wounds, and traces of time remain.

I see the human hand as a symbol of inner experience, carrying the memories, emotions, and values accumulated throughout life. In my paintings, the hand expands beyond a physical form and becomes a landscape of the mind where layers of memory, desire, and existence coexist.

Through layered images, repeated lines, and symbolic elements from nature, I visualize psychological landscapes that cannot be fully expressed through words.

My work begins with personal memories but ultimately seeks to connect with the universal inner gardens that exist within all human beings.
