Ivan Benitez

Originally from La Paz - Bolivia, Ivan started painting at the age of eight inspired by some Indian ink and tempera drawings left by an old family member. He studied Fine Art at the Institute of Fine Arts in La Paz and at St Martins School of Arts in London

"What drives me to paint is the challenge to express my perception of time. I see it as a way to channel the day to day of awareness through colour and form, using for this oil mediums and other graphic techniques to achieve the desired concept, I have perhaps grown up more meticulous as I progressed in painting professionally and so my ideas and inspiration have also evolved.
