features the Jazz Art of artist and poet, Peter Mark Butler, presenting the dazzling world of jazz through his collection of jazz paintings, jazz portraits and jazz poems. His jazz art reflects his involvement in the jazz scene which prompted him to launch to help champion jazz, raise the profile of New Orleans Revivalist Jazz and keep it alive and thriving. The aim is to cover all costs involved through portrait commissions and the sale of his paintings, fine art jazz prints and jazz photographs.

To be taught, in my youth, by a Royal Academician was an incredible privilege. Especially by one who, as a young "media" artist, was assigned to cover Queen Victoria's public appearances and court functions in the twilight years of her reign.A while ago I participated in a wildlife exhibition when, unfortunately, one of my paintings was "absconded". A friend called this "the height of flattery".

In keeping with my aims of using my jazz paintings to support and promote jazz, occasional exhibits will be limited to Jazz Festivals, Jazz Clubs and associated events. My website jazzandjazz.com is an exhibition in itself, promoting my jazz portraits, jazz photographs, features and blogs.
