Candace Chu

Candace starts her art career in Hong Kong, China.She is the art award winner of the Philippe Charriol Foundation.Candace loves Chinese and Western art and has been actively involved in applying traditional Chinese ink to new medium.

Candace became fascinated to apply the contemporary western painting techniques to my Chinese artwork. She loves to use ink and paper to draw flowers, birds and landscape. Her recent work also involved the creation of conceptually based cultural objects to show the unique traditions of various festivals in China. Several of her works focus on deconstructing and arranging these elements into new conceptually layered and colourful pieces.

Candace has a Certificate of Chinese Painting and a Certificate of Western Painting from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
