When I lift the lid off the turpentine, I am carried into the universe of all creative spirits. Experiencing the same bliss as Monet, Durer, Pollock, Cassatt, Vermeer, Hopper, and all the unheralded artists whose work I have seen and absorbed into my own being. --

I love art. Each piece is a piece of me, how I'm feeling at that moment, or what I see as ideal. When a collector connects with a piece of work, they are touching souls with the artist. Remotely of course, but a piece of art captures the spirit of the person who created it, and that is what attracts us to their work, and makes us want to live with it and make it a part of our own realm. --

Art is a reward to oneself, both for the artist and collector. A sort of "window" to a place of possibilities. -- Cathy Peterson
