Carla Romana Fantini - Biography

The artist was born in Rome and grew up in a diplomatic-academic environment where there was no space or support for her desire to give artistic expression to her creativity. The regular changes of place that came, were both a resource and a challenge during this phase.

The first phase of her life in which she was able to freely live out her inherent urge for artistic expression was during her interior design studies in Rome, where she was initially very inspired by the possibilities of the digital world. This proved to be a blessing in her next phase of life, starting a family and moving to Innsbruck, as she was able to "secretly" create art through digital possibilities.

On the basis of this digital foundation, she later created the series of works she calls DIALOG, in which the digital world enters into an exciting symbiosis with the analog and handcrafted world on canvas.

Her second series of works were created under the term LETTING GO, which also describes her next phase in life and her desire for less control, and the urge to give her art an even freer expression.
