Connie Millholland

Artist Connie Millholland, from Benicia, California finds excitement through the challenges she conquers in creating figurative art. Each painting seems to inspire personal stories in its viewers. They have revealed that they find themselves in the paintings. The Facial expressions and body language prompts them to remember their own stories. Millholland began her art career in college and became an art teacher teaching high school students and adults. She has studied the figure for the last 30 years through classes and drawing sessions. She has painted it semi-abstractly and with an impressionistic, loose brush style. Millholland's figure paintings individually fall into themes illustrating Moments in Time, Women's Stories, Essential workers, and Homelessness.
