Denise Harrison

I am a BA fine-art student in my third year of a five year part-time degree. I am a qualified psychiatric nurse and a Dramatherapist. I am intrigued by the projection and identification of the psyche via the face. My mother had head and neck cancer and had unsuccessful facial reconstruction. I now use the versatility of oils to reconstruct and ressurrect faces by painting images from the past and the present, cutting up and collaging my images and re-painting a new, yet familiar face. i take time in producing an image that projects emotion and thouht, perhaps narrative.
