With a firm hold on pop art and portraiture, Hannah Stone has continued to evolve her style in an arc that can be described as organic and explosive.
The blending and bleeding of paint has extend Hanna’s palate outside of the lines. The result is a complex marriage of color that allows the viewer to enter each piece creating a unique and personal experience. Although these abstracts may appear to be random in creation, they are actually an exhibit of a true collaboration between an artist and her medium. She coaxes the paint to move and shape itself across the canvas. This fluid expression creates spaces and folds that are easy for the eye to enter and travel across.
Perhaps the most stunning revolution in Hannah’s new work is the shear size. The importance of scale can not be overstated. These large pieces literally cut a window into any wall, creating relatable views that are reminiscent of wave-forms, celestial vistas and landscapes.
