Born in Aylesbury, Bucks, 1974, I then grew up close to Silverstone circuit, where my first job involved hand-cutting vinyl stickers for racing car liveries. After a 25 year gap working in advertising, I have resurrected those skills learnt with a scalpel and taken them full-circle by going back to sticking vinyl on car parts, along with almost anything I can apply vinyl too. This technique and medium enables me to turn real objects in to minimalist, surreal Pop Art sculptures by totally transforming their original look and feel. The concept also allows me to create work that is ultimately just a reflection of the world around us, only in a unique, fresh and original approach. I'm still within the first few years of starting this direction and thus far I am enjoying discovering new subjects (and objects) on which to base my collections on, with influences that range from Hockney to Koons.
