Perfection is not what I seek.

I observe, feel and create. My work begins with emotion, with what moves beneath the surface before it can be fully understood.

My paintings move between landscape, memory and inner reality. Nature is never just a backdrop in my work. It becomes a carrier of feeling, instinct, shelter and resistance. Through oil paint, mixed media and layered surfaces, I explore the tension between control and surrender, stillness and expressive movement.

Recurring themes in my work are dualities: light and dark, strength and vulnerability, softness and rawness, what is visible and what remains hidden. Each painting arises intuitively, guided more by feeling than by plan, as a way of responding to what life leaves behind.

From my studio in the Netherlands, I develop a visual language in which nature and the human spirit are closely intertwined. My paintings do not explain everything. They ask the viewer to slow down, stay with the image, and notice what begins to move underneath the surface.
