ABOUT
EDUCATION

Lorraine Arsenault was born in Montreal, Canada. Since her young days, she was always fascinated with drawing. She discovered watercolour painting in 1990. After years in the advertising world, she moved to Corsica to dedicate herself to her painting. She participated in European workshops, won a variety of art competitions and was invited to give watercolour and drawing lessons. After living in France for five years she returned to her roots and now lives in Saint-Bruno, Quebec. Since 2003, she has been a member of the AAPARS (Association des Artistes Peintres Affilis de la Rive-Sud). She is their Exhibit Director since 2007.

She gives watercolour and drawing classes in her studio near Montreal.
The artist's sense of observation makes her watercolors fascinating. The way the artist plays with colors, her shadows, her attention to detail, from the subtle elegance of dewdrops to the refined beauty of the ladybug, will have you discover something new every time you admire her work.
Her style which combine realism and impressionism, make her works distinctive and a pleasure to discover.

Lorraine Arsenault studied fine arts at the Cegep du Vieux-Montreal and art history at the Universite du Quebec in Canada.
She has participated in art exhibits such as the annual "Art Credo" in Ottawa, the annual AAPARS expositions in Saint-Bruno and on the South Shore of Montreal, and at "La Galerie@1637" in Montral. Including her regular exhibits, she also took part in the 8th Annual AutomnArt exhibit at the Complexe Desjardins in Montreal. Furthermore, she was invited by the Group Batik Art to its 30th commemorative exhibit at the Sala Barna Gallery in Barcelona, Spain.
