About Lucie Duban

Based in France.

I work with oil.
I have several bodies of work. The main ones evolve around a theme (Tropical / Cosmos / Luxuriance) and are all linked together. The interconnection being the core of them.
It is both the topic of my work and the shape it takes.
Other series, like "Enchanted Mounts", is shaped around color.

My painting is based onto nature and dream, and focuses onto interconnections and the invisible.
Colors and forms play an important part in my work. The playful touch is often present as well.

My aim is to offer a moment of escapism to the viewer, to arise some sort of contemplation in order to reconnect with the invisible of our planet and beyond. Also by revealing it, the idea is to remember the essential is to be found in the invisible bounds which link every living being.

My artistic influences are mainly Odilon Redon, Arshile Gorky, along with Hilma Af Klint, Wols,Munch, Klee and Khalo.)
