Lucia Horvátová

Paintings showing abstract spaces are metaphoric for human insight. They are a symbolic study of the psyche and the relationship between human insights with the outside environment. In lyric proposition, even if sometimes approaching to geometric abstraction, they are showing physically non-existing environments with personal character. They appear to be a parallel world, similar to dreams, made quite intuitively. There are segments of connection or open space between insights and the outside environment.
Fragments of crystal matter are a surreal element in the space. They act dynamically and organically like they are growing up. They give the impression of movement and crystallization and symbolize development. A viewer could perceive their shine shallowly or see something clean. They are sharp and simultaneously frail. They express something from the author’s insight, her soul, her mind. Through their specific shapes they come to be a characteristic of her creations.
