My work is centered on the idea of nature as a vital and organic force, as a fecund mother in permanent change, in which the cycles of life and death are constantly occurring. I attempt to appropriate the elements which I find in nature to create images that are metaphors of the often violent relationship between humans, their environments, and themselves.
