About Mariwan Jalal

Mariwan Jalal was born in Kurdistan and now work and live in London. He is a mixed media artist whose work takes a critical view of social, political and cultural issues, referencing Kurdish tradition. Often confrontational, his work reproduces familiar visual and design signs, arranging them into new, conceptually layered installations.
