About Matthew Carter

I am represented by Föenander Galleries formerly NKB Gallery in Auckland. I teach classes at Browne School of Art, Auckland. I also exhibit at NorhArt Auckland. I won the Glaister Ennor award in 2009 and was a finalist in the Adam Portraiture Awards in 2009, the COCA Anthony Harper Awards 2010, the Wallace Arts Trust Awards 2010, 2011 and 2015 and the National Contemporary Art Award 2011.

His work explores the spatio-psychology of city spaces.
