Maureen Shaughnessy

As a young adult, I settled in Montana and have lived in Montana's capitol city for over 30 years. I have a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington. I do residential landscape design and consulting as well as photography, mixed media artworks and writing.

I am happily married and have five children with my husband, Tim, who makes custom furniture and cabinetry. I work in multiple art mediums, including photography, digital photocollage and paintings, mixed media sculpture and collage, handmade cast paper, music and the written word (essays, poetry and prose.)

I would like to touch viewers of my art on a deep level. Whether they live in a city or in rural areas, if I can open someone's eyes to the beauty that is right in front of their eyes, then I feel I have succeeded with my artistic pursuits.
