Mikki Shenkenberg

In relationship to my current creative practices and existing bodies of creative work I want to explain as to what I do, how I do what I do, and why I do what I do. I have an eye for art, in particular with photographs with my unique angles and dramatic shots: I can see in "˜art', i.e. I breathe, smell, taste, touch, and feel through art.
I enjoy experimental work, and love using charcoal, and painting various surfaces and creating mixed media, I love to create digital art starting with a finished photograph or any photographed art I have made and turn those pieces into new pieces.
My purpose in life and above all with art is to be inspired and to inspire. I am ever so thankful to share what I see with the world.
I believe art causes people to look a little closer"”at social issues, at other people and their emotions, at the environment that surrounds them, and the everyday objects and life forms around them. It helps them see what is there but not easily perceived and I bring out that which cannot be seen or felt easily.
