Sandra Fenty-Jones was born in Guyana, South America, the third of three siblings. Like many children, she and her siblings were exposed to art at an early age because it was a part of the curriculum. However, to Jones's recollection, the history of art and famous artists were not introduced to them; nevertheless, they gained insight from their environment. Jones enjoyed drawing with pencils, coloring with crayons, and painting with watercolor paint. During her adolescent years, she was introduced to charcoal, which she enjoyed immensely. Additionally, during her early college years, she worked with oil and acrylic paint, and charcoal.
In a world filled with chaos -wars, rumors of wars, terrorist acts, and threats, various forms of art can be entertaining, therapeutic, and funny. They provide tranquility and balance in a person's life, as well as insight and knowledge of various cultures and eras.
For many years, Jones devoted her life to ministry at two local churches. At one location, she ministered in the following capacities: Missionary, usher, Sunday school teacher, and a member of the choir and women's auxiliary.
