Rosaria Onotri was born in Naples, Italy, graduated with highest honors in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples.
Upon graduation she worked as a set designer for various theater companies, opera, ballet, and traveled in Europe. Installed in Paris she taught drawing and painting in schools for popular education. She currently lives and works in southern France.
Her painting is deeply rooted in the history of art and is characterized by a questioning on the forces at work between the human subject and the physical elements in which they position themselves. A kind of meeting / collision between colour and geometrical form that finds within the line a moment of rest.
