Pete Edmunds

I grew up in Cheshire, painting with watercolours and studied technical drawing as part of my engineering work. Somewhere between precision and imagination, photography found me — the perfect blend of art and science.

Engineering took me around the world, and the camera quickly became my second passport. Over time, travel shifted from backdrop to subject — people, textures, light and landscapes revealing how every place carries its own rhythm and temperament.

Today, my photographs often sit between structure and surprise — a quiet balance of geometry, intuition and chance. I'm drawn equally to the pulse of the city and the calm of the countryside; whether it’s the angular pull of a façade or the tender rhythm of daily life. To capture the most compelling stories I prefer to shoot spontaneously, unbound by genre or subject.
