Phyllis Miller

U.S. Navy veteran and multidisciplinary artist Phyllis Thomas Miller creates sensory‑rich works that merge cosmic texture, nature’s vibrancy, and meditative calm. With 30 years of professional practice, her newest series — “Vibrant Nature & Universe Sensations” — explores the emotional resonance of color, movement, and organic form across oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, and mixed media.

She began her artistic foundation at age seven. She built on it through studies at Art Center College of Design, medical illustration training, and technical drafting during her Vietnam‑era Navy service. This unique blend of precision and imagination fuels her signature style: traditional meets contemporary, abstract meets figurative, realism meets cosmic energy.

In her creation “Man & Energy,” Phyllis offers a powerful interpretation shaped by her medical illustration experience at Johns Hopkins—a surreal, abstract fusion of the human figure and planetary systems that releases vibrant, explosive empowerment. The work serves as her visual appeal to the world: to care for our planet so that humanity and the universe may move in harmony as one.
