Rosetta DeBerardinis is an abstract expressionist painter whose work needs no narrative. Her paintings merge energy, form, texture, space and color. DeBerardinis paints for a living and lives to paint. Art instruction began for her at age five, when her mother enrolled her in classes at Pratt Institute in New York. Her interest in the creative process continued while obtaining degrees at Vassar College, the University of the District of Columbia and the Universtiy of Baltimore School of Law and the London School for Social Research. Her work has been exhibited and sold around the mid-Atlantic region in the U.S. She regularly exhibits and sells her paintings and has a rooster of collectors; some own ten of her works. Next year, the Maryland resident will continue exhibiting at region and national venures.As an abstract painter, I create whatever comes into my head. I rarely begin with a plan or an idea. The blank canvas does not intimidate me. I welcome its challenge; the opportunity to start with nothing and create magic.Moving the pigment against the raw surface creates the magic. I move around the canvas as I work. I must confess that I have painted while holding a canvas in the air or upside down. I take pleasure in watching...
Rosetta's work has been exibited at commerical galleries and non-art venues. She has had seven (7) solo shows since 2003, and participated in numerous goup group exhibitions. Degrees: Vassar College, University of the District of Columbia, University of Baltimore School of Law and attendance at the London School for Social Research.,
