About Sallyanne Morgan

Irish sculptor.
Apart from occasional forays into silicone I work primarily with the most common construction materials – cement. It has extraordinary versatility and a directness that allows for spontaneity.
The work is cast from clay or using the direct cement method with a base of metal armature on which ferrous cement is then layered. Pigment , fibrous materials and found objects are also used surface texture.
I love poetry and the written word which sometimes becomes part of the finished work.

Using the human body enables me to animate the small internal voices we all share. To make a visual representation of the inner psyche, in all its beautifully flawed complexity.
