Born 1964 in Worcestershire, UK. I paint whenever and wherever I can in between looking after 2 small children.
Mainly self-taught , I use painting ultimately as a means of self-expression.
When not looking after my 2 young children, I work from my Oxfordshire studio creating original paintings on canvas. I have clients across the UK, Europe and the USA.
I enjoy most vibrant use of colour, space and form, drawing inspiration from the natural world around me.
I was lucky enough to be one of the winners in the 2006 South of France MyArtSpace competition with large scale
studies of flowers and similar subjects.
ArtsHub reviewer Katerina Kokkinos-Kennedy said of Sue's work:"Cook's flowers seem to have personalities.
The paintings are like portraits and as such are reminiscent of the great American painter Georgia O'Keefe's work."
I strongly feel art is more than paint on canvas.
"Art is feeling - an emotional response - and I aim to evoke sentiments with my work."
