Willie Mae Brown

I was born in Selma Alabama in 1953 and after graduating to adulthood, and having my first son, I moved to The Apple, worked for many years as an admin for verizon, attended st Francis college for creative writing, Columbia university for creative writing, all the while creating art. I had my first art shoe in 2003 in Brooklyn NY and sold 6 pieces. One to Ernest Chrichlow and after that I have had many exhibits, in many venues, in NY. I have been fortunately to catch the attention of many people, but the most memorable two are my best friend who past away a few years ago and was skeptical about my talents until president William Jefferson Clinton aquired "The Pearly Gates".
