I am a self-taught, Los Angeles–born artist whose work bridges abstraction, political activism, consciousness, and a deep commitment to beauty as a transformative force.
My path to becoming an artist was nontraditional. After college I worked in Los Angeles and later owned an organic café in Sedona, Arizona, where I supported and showed the work of other artists. I subsequently lived in Germany, founding and operating a holistic center before returning to the United States. I now live in Los Angeles and Santa Fe, NM.
After another long hiatus due to caring for my mother, and my own health issues, I am eager to share my art again. It has been a journey to get here and now more than ever we need transformational art in the world
Majored in political science at UCLA
I am primarily a self-taught artist, who has been lucky to have seen a lot of great art. I took a collage class in 2011 and in 2012 I saw the documentary Gerhard Richter Painting and it changed my life. I saw the film four times in four weeks. I consider Herr Richter my painting guru, although we have never met.
I continue to paint as much as I can and it's been a joy to see the development.
