After studying foundation Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee University, Scotland UK. Ann transferred to Heriot-Watt University, Scotland UK to complete her BA (Hons) Design for Textiles – specialising in woven textile design.

After graduating she worked in the woven technical textile industry for 7 years with Replin Fabrics at Marchstreet Mills in Peebles Scotland. When the mill closed it gates in 2015 an opportunity arose for Ann to use her design skills along with her interest in creating art work and installation from re-purposed materials. Contracted by a local company Ann worked to save objects from the mill, giving them a new lease of life by transforming them into location friendly features and art installations for a local hotel.
