I find inspiration in the contrasts of life where light shines brighter next to the shadows. Where darkness is not to be escaped or fought against, but looked deeper into and gone through to a brighter higher dimension.
I paint immersed in the divine peace behind the seemingly contradicting realities of existence. The world is filled with angst that is concurrently jubilant and vibrant. I try not to lose the sense of awareness of the ultimate wisdom and excellence of all there is, just the way that it is. My characters, reminding of machinery-driven dolls are an expression of the automated nature of human makeup that often leaves a feeling of being trapped in its tight grip. Both life and the emotional and mental "mechanisms" are run by universal laws that can cause suffering and confusion. But they also hold the potential of a tool for growth if recognized as such and it is our duty to learn how they work, know them and use them wisely. What imprisons us is the key to the hankered liberation.
