Michael Pot

Michael in his work examines borders of portraiture, he´s experimenting and fascinated by pareidolia.
His paintings are expressive, created by layers of colors that overlap. In the paintings are mostly used portrait elements.
Theme of works is the human isolation, desire to find inner balance an individual's quest to find his own happiness, sense of security, humanity and home sense.

"The Portraits is inspired by iconic portrait photographies from the past. The artwork shows fictitious family members or family friends. Painting in its form is of very loose, expressive and without any fix rules. My aim was to make art experiments. Affected by whitin conflict of mine, I painted a set of austere and serious facees without facial expressions, which are in opposite to wide palette of colors used in the painting."
His work is in private collections all over the world.
